1.How does listing pricing work?
Choose 6 months ($25 one-time), 12 months ($49.90 one-time, our best value) or a monthly plan ($8/mo, cancel anytime). Add the Social Media Boost (+$20) and our proprietary Social Sync system automatically turns their photos into a video reel for our Facebook and TikTok once the profile is approved, and features them at the top of Browse. The featured spot lasts half the plan length on a one-time plan, or one month at a time on the monthly plan.
2.How long does it take for my listing to go live?
Every listing is reviewed before it's published, typically within 1-2 business days. You'll get an email once it's approved.
3.How does mail actually get to me?
Your listing shows your name, ID number, and facility mailing address exactly as you provided it. Pen pals write directly to that address by postal mail — we never handle or forward physical mail ourselves.
4.Can I take my listing down early?
Yes. Open your listing page and use "This is my listing — request removal," confirming with the email you used to submit it. An admin will take it down shortly after.
5.What does the green "Verified" badge mean?
It means our team manually confirmed the mailing address and facility information on that listing. It's not a background check — always use your own judgment when corresponding.
6.Do you offer refunds?
One-time listing fees are non-refundable once a listing is published, since review and placement work has already happened. Monthly subscriptions can be canceled anytime to stop future billing.
7.Is this safe?
We vet listings before publishing and provide clear guidelines for pen pals, but we can't guarantee every interaction. Never send money or gift cards to someone you haven't independently verified — see our Guidelines page for the full rules.
